In a video published on Facebook, Lázaro wondered how Yarelis had left him, how she could give up the passionate relationship they had and confessed that there was a couple's argument with a violent act, in which the woman ended up with a swollen eye from a punch.

"I already found out that you went back to him. Why did you do it Yarelis? How did I fail you, my daughter? Everyone makes mistakes Yarelis. I know you like me. Why can't we be happy, let's see, Tell me?" the pedicab driver asked his beloved.

Lázaro insists on his love for Yarelis and knowing that he is viral on social networks, he has not hesitated for a minute to proclaim it forcefully, even ensuring that he will tattoo that woman's name on his skin.

"Yarelis, love, you left me with a wounded heart but you know something, no woman in this world is going to take your place. I love you, you are the only thing I need and want for my life. Forgive me for everything we have been through, really I would like you to come back one day. I don't want anyone else, let the world know. I don't care or care about anyone. I'm only interested in you. Remember the tattoo, because it's worth it," said Lázaro.

However, their declarations of love have sparked alarm among many people due to fear of an attack that will leave a tragic outcome in this story.

Lázaro also used social networks to reassure his ex-girlfriend's family and even Raciel, whom he asked to take care of Yarelis.

Yarelis recently made statements claiming that she was a victim of gender violence. She explained that she met Lázaro at a time when she and her husband were separated. He suffered so much harassment from the pedicab driver that he turned to Raciel for protection and this brought them together again.

"They have made me go viral without me asking or wanting it. It is time for me to tell my truth because everyone supports Lázaro without really knowing what happened," said Yarelis.

"If Lázaro were such a good man, as people think he is, I would not have had the need to leave him. He is possessive, jealous, obsessive. Mentally he is not well and many have realized it, but they continue to wind him up and he can become dangerous for me," the woman explained.

Yarelis assures that they have no relationship with Lázaro since they broke up their courtship. "He is making a big deal and he is including me. (...) I loved him very much, but he is a violent man. (...) I am married again to a wonderful man (Raciel)," said Yarelis.

The woman asked her followers for help on social media and said that she needs a cell phone to respond to the accusations that many people make against her.

Cubans unleashed a wave of memes, jokes and also serious complaints due to the connotation of joking about an issue as complex as this, in a country where gender violence has claimed the lives of 80 women in 2023.
