A man was arrested Monday accused of harassingShakira outside the singer's home in Miami Beach.

Daniel John Valtier, 56, of El Paso, Texas, who believed to be “Shakira's husband,” was arrested on a charge of harassment, local media reported.

The episode of harassment of the subject's Colombian singer began on January 3 with a series of social media posts about the singer, which were provided to the police by Shakira's security director.

The man described how he would marry Shakira and open a business with her, and how he had a relationship with her children.

“The children will be adopted when I am also married. Shakira, she also wants to be an American like her father and share the rest of her life with me. We will own a transportation business, sing songs, promote, manage and own a worldwide apparel manufacturing corporation,” Valtier wrote on Instagram.

Likewise, the accused sent packages to Shakira's house that included bottles of wine, chocolates and toys.

Shakira's security team asked Valtier to stop sending gifts and posting details about her personal life on social media.

After the warning, however, they found a post on Instagram in which Valtier, who showed the card of a motel in Florida where he was staying, claimed he would show up at the singer's house.

Indeed, Valtier arrived atShakira's house in Miami Beach in a taxi around 12:45 a.m. Monday, where he was detained.

Valtier was jailed and appeared in court Tuesday.

The judge asked him to stay away from the singer, stop sending packages and trying to contact her, but the subject replied that the restraining order would not work.

"She is my wife. “I talk to her all the time,” Valtier said.

The judge, concerned about Valtier's mental state, has set bail at $100,000.
