Limay Blanco starts campaign to help family who lost everything in a fire in Havana

In the house fire, located in the Havana municipality of Arroyo Naranjo, all the household appliances and belongings of the members of the family unit were burned, probably due to a short circuit.

The comedianLimay Blanco started a campaign to help a family whosehouse caught fire with all his assets inside, this Monday, in the Arroyo Naranjo municipality, in Havana.

Limay and his wife Glenda Medina made pathsbroadcasts from their Facebook profiles, in which they showed the destruction of the house, located on Calzada de Managua, between El Cuervo highway and Los Mangos avenue, where all the household appliances and belongings of the members of the family nucleus were burned, probably due to a short circuit.

Walls cracked and blackened by smoke; the roof inflamed by flames; furniture, equipment and clothing completely destroyed; ashes and destruction is the desolate panorama that the family faces.

No one was injured in the incident, but those people have suffered a harsh impact, losing everything they had. They kept the clothes they were wearing, they explained to the leader of theChrist Changes Lives Ministry.

At the time of the fire, only an elderly woman, who suffers from Parkinson's disease, was in the house. Despite her disability, the woman, who was sitting outside the house, went inside to try to put out the fire, but was unable to stop the advance of the flames that consumed all of her possessions.

“The television and the cold (refrigerator) melted,” said one person, to the astonishment of Limay, who could not believe that the equipment, furniture and other objects were practically reduced to ashes. “Is that cold?!” exclaimed the activist, incredulous at the utter destruction that surrounded him.

“What is coming is going to be better than what was burned, more beautiful and new, in the name of Jesus. We are here to help,” Limay told the elderly woman who witnessed the fire, while asking her not to feel guilty about the tragic event.

One of the family members, identified as Yusmary, explained that in recent days officials from the electricity company had ordered a neighbor to light the trash near her house, but the flames spread,They burned cables from the electrical installation, and that could have been the cause of the outage that occurred and triggered the incident. this Monday.

According to the family, the electrical workers temporarily fixed the damaged cables and assured that they would return on Monday of last week to make the repair, but they did not do so. Unfortunately, the day before an electrical failure apparently caused by the same fault was the cause of the merciless fire.

Limay asked them to clean the house, where two families actually live, and promised that he would take care of it.collect donations to re-equip the property and solve the electrical problem.

During the live interview, he revealed other details about the incident and announced that they would try to help these people in the same way they did with the family that suffered the accident.fire in his home in the Boyeros municipality in October of last year.

The comedian provided the bank account numbers where the aid can be deposited. At first he suggested naming the case as “Four Women,” in reference to the occupants of the house, since the three men in the house are being held in prison, as revealed in the video. But, finally, he said that it would be called “Bible Case”, because despite the destruction, Yusmary's Bible survived the flames.

Limay and his wife made a preliminary list of everything that is needed and explained that, although it is a single building, two family units coexist there. For this reason, the activist said thatthree doors, five cold light lamps, two refrigerators, two Queen pots, two rice cookers and two induction stoves with their pots, four fans, two 32-inch televisions with their bases, a washing machine, two living room sets, a double bed with his mattress and three personal mattresses, since Limay said that he will donate a personal bed and a bunk bed of his property.

Likewise, she requested help with medicines for the disabled elderly woman and clothing for the teenager. Neighbors present during the broadcast offered to help the women and brought them food and an initial donation of 5,000 Cuban pesos.

One of the neighbors will host the four women while the house is being repaired and all the equipment and furniture are collected, which may take several days or weeks.

The activist gave them hope that help will be obtained and they will recover everything they lost.
