In the midst of the food shortage faced by the Cuban population, the sale of food in poor condition has become frequent: this time the people of Holguín denounced that in several wineries in that province straws with worms were sold for children.

Just a few weeks ago the government recognized thesale of sugar with iron fragments in some areas of the country.

Now several mothers posted images ofthe sorbets, and they assured that they had been expired since 2023. This, after the announcements of milk cuts and the expected shortage of bread until the end of March, has outraged several women.

"When you think that they are doing (finally)something for our children, they come and screw up to the bottom. Look how wonderful the straws they brought to the children of Cacocum (Holguín) at the winery, anyway, LET'S GO FOR MORE MOMMIES, CREATIVITY HAS NO LIMITS," posted a woman in the group ofFacebook "Cuban mothers for a better world."

Mother Bertha Martinez questioned: "Is it possible that our children will have to bring this because it is expired, it is a shame, God, do not do this if you are going to bring them something useful, this has been expired since 2023, gentleman, they are children, anyone gets poisoned."

At the beginning of the month, authorities confirmed that the sugar sold in the Villa Clara warehouses had inedible iron particles.

A similar publication last year forced the regime to analyze the sugar it delivers for the basic basket in the warehouses of Cárdenas, Matanzas, and dozens of kilograms had to be removed from the distribution network.

On that occasion, state television in that municipality confirmed that the standardized white sugar that was sold to the population contained "fragments of foreign matter that were not soluble" or suitable for human consumption.

Also included was the delivery of a snackham with worms for the children from a school in Artemisa.
