The 14 Cuban rafters rescued by the Icon of the Seas cruise ship arrive in Honduras

The rafters wait for the corresponding procedures with immigration from Honduras.

The 14 Cuban rafters rescued on the high seas by the cruise ship Icon of the Seas, the largest in the world, are in the port of Honduras, although they have not yet disembarked.

Honduran merchant marine captain Servin Rodriguez He specified details of the rescue of the Cubans, which occurred last Saturday, March 2, and spoke about their immigration situation.

“We were notified through the agency that represents this vessel in the Caribbean that the rafters were on the high seas,” Rodríguez told the local television channel. Roatan Speak Clearly (RHC).

The health conditions of the 14 rescued men were considered favorable by the sailor, except for two who “come dehydrated.”

He indicated that they were waiting for coordination with immigration in Honduras to carry out their checkup.

“We have information that they are being cared for very well, on board, they are with all their medications and serums, so we can say that they are stable,” he added.
