The Cuban regime announced that they are preparing another batch of twenty electric tricycles for the transportation of passengers in Cuba, in the midst of the national fuel crisis.

"Practically ready a new batch of 20Electric Tricycles to begin providing public passenger transportation services in Cuba," reported Canal Caribe, which also posted images of the vehicles.

The post does not clarify the beneficiary provinces or the routes that will be covered with these vehicles.

This modality isstart on the island several years ago. In 2020 and 2022, the regime delivered several electric tricycles to companies such as the state-owned Taxis-Cuba, from the Buenavista popular council of the Playa municipality, in Havana, to provide service on three routes and alleviate the transportation crisis in the Cuban capital.

However, the results of this initiative have not been detailed; the number of passengers benefiting daily from electric tricycles and their durability are unknown.

Last year these equipment were sold at prices of up to4,800 MLC in the country's Caribe stores.

Cuba is experiencing a serious fuel crisis that affects the population daily with prolonged blackouts, the decrease in public transportation and the increase in the cost of services.
