Man kills roommate for a dollar in Miami

A Miami man was arrested afterkilling his roommate during a fight over a dollar, last Friday, according to police reports.

Brandon Carlos Grant, 36 years old, was arrested forsecond degree murder, after taking the life of his partner in the apartment they both shared, in a building on Northwest 77th Street in Miami.

The incident occurred around 5 a.m. last Friday, according to the police report, who responded to the scene after receiving a call about a possible dispute between roommates.

Officers found the suspect outside the building, lying on the sidewalk, with blood on the hoodie he was wearing, they reported.local media.

Grant said he couldn't breathe and asked for water, after which he was taken to a local hospital.

Upon entering the apartment, officers found the victim “unconscious on his knees leaning on a couch” and appeared to have suffered “blunt force trauma to his face,” according to the arrest report.

The man, whose identity has not been revealed, was pronounced dead at the scene by personnel from the City of Fire Department.Miami.

In a later interview,Grant told police that he “became enraged when the victim did not give him a dollar.”, a struggle occurred and the victim asked him to stop “because he was going tothe woman”

Grant was held at the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, where he remained detained this Monday, without the right to bail, the channel reported.Local 10 News.
