A Cuban who lives in New Jersey could not hide her amazement at the kindness of Americans after several encountersthat she had throughout a day with different people who greeted her and treated her very well without knowing her.
It was TikTok user @brendasecret96, who has been living in the United States for two years, who shared the anecdotes she experienced during the day. Four encounters with different people showed that kindness runs deep in most Americans.
"Can someone explain to me why gringos are so friendly?", the Cuban begins by asking her TikTok followers, before recounting the four anecdotes she experienced with four different friendly Americans.
"First, a gringa greeted me as if she had known me all my life. She wished me a very good day, she was very nice. A few seconds later, a young man also approached to greet me," commented Brenda, who added that another person approached to ask him the address of a restaurant near his house. "My English is terrible and he told me that my English was very good. Maybe he didn't even find the restaurant, but he left me the compliment", he added.
"What caught my attention the most was that they delivered a package to the wrong house, that is, to the neighbor next door, whom I didn't know. I went to ask him if they had left the package at his house and of course it was there. The man almost bought me a house to apologize because my package was at his house. He gave me a Dunkin' Donuts gift card. I am speechless.", she said in the video, totally surprised.
"I have to assimilate that gringos are so kind and that they see everything from the positive side. I love American culture", concluded the Cuban.
Many users agreed with her and stated that they have indeed lived similar experiences that have led them to the same conclusion.
"These people are very beautiful people and the education is another level", "I have emigrated to two countries, but gringos are super good people", "Likewise, the vast majority feel happy when you try to speak English", "I work with gringos and I have the best opinion of them, super good people" or "Americans sometimes treat us better than Latinos themselves," they said in the comments of this video.
