Happiness for The Taiger has not been complete since the death of his mother, whom he considered the most important person in his life.
In a recent interview for “Destino Tolk”, the reggaeton player spoke of the emptiness he has felt since losing his mother in 2020.
When the Dominican influencer Destino Positivo asked El Taiger if he was happy, his response came accompanied by great pain.
“Now yes or I'm looking for that. I have been improvising in this life for four years because what made me happy was seeing my mother.. “I was around the world and what made me happy was looking at it,” said the artist.
Destino insisted that he now has his daughters to which El Taiger added: “Now I am learning that, this last time I went to Cuba I felt what I felt with my mother with my oldest girl. Life is about time, I was very attached to the old”.
Taiger insisted in the interview that one thing is him as a person and “another when he is José next to his family (…) I have no commitment to anyone, my commitment is to my grandmother, my uncle, my daughters and my music”.
He also added that at 36 years old he is not willing to deal with hypocrisy and falsehoods: “I don't know how to deal with that anymore. Before it was the old woman who spoke to me 'José Manuel you have to learn, you have to deal, you have to do this because you are an artist', I am no longer in that condition."
The interview with “Destino Tolk” fueled some of the controversies that revolve around the artist, including criticism for his repeated trips to Cuba.
