Charly & Johayron They reacted online to the good news that some of their songs were certified platinum and gold by the RIAA.
"With God's blessing, we can say that we have become one of the greatest artists that the island has produced," they wrote through the stories from his Instagram account.
"We are going to continue working to achieve much more," they added in their celebratory message, which they closed with words of gratitude to their fans and their label.
The songs that have received platinum are "Mi liar", "Cupido" -along with El Taiger- and "My favorite place"; while "Montaña rollera" and "Funimate", with Pokercito, won gold.
But it hasn't just been them Cuban artists who have recently been included in the recent RIAA list that recognizes success in the music industry.
Oniel Bebeshito has a gold record for "Hacha", "Imagínate mí" and "Manguera".
Fixty Ordara y Ja Rulay -already dissolved as a duet since last October- They received a platinum record for "Everything is Ok", and gold for "Vete aleja" and their collaboration with Wow Popy and Wampi titled "Pornosotros 2".
Kimiko and Michel Boutic - also from Planet Records, like the previous artists - have two gold records with "Me Mataste" and "El champion".
El Chulo and Wow Popy also appear more than once on the list. Mawell's "La Triple M" also received platinum certification last February.
