A video has surfaced of Cuban millionaire Carlos Guillermo Alonso recorded before and after the accident that occurred on May 12th in Biscayne Bay, Miami, where a 15-year-old girl died while water skiing.

The recording belongs to a surveillance camera from the dock located behind Alonso's house in Coral Gables.

The images released by Telemundo 51 allow us to see the 78-year-old man untying his 42-foot Boston Whaler boat at 3:08 pm on the fateful day and heading out onto the water. Just over an hour later, it is seen when he returns and ties up the boat. The moment he exits the boat is not shown.

According to Lauren Krasnoff, the businessman's lawyer, the video should help put an end to some of the "terrible and false rumors circulating about" her client.

As shown in the video, Bill was alone. He wasn't drinking and had no idea he might have hit someone. He parked the boat at his house, was calm, didn't clean the boat, and didn't try to hide anything," he stressed.

Krasnoff added that Alonso will continue to cooperate with the authorities in every possible way. However, he clarified that it is still not known for certain if he was the one who accidentally hit and killed the teenager Ella Riley Adler, a first-year student at Ransom Everglades, in Coconut Grove.

"If it was him, I can tell you that he had no idea what happened that day. He is devastated," she emphasized.

Last week, Ella Riley Adler lost her life while practicing water skiing in Biscayne Bay, Miami. It all happened when a boat, which then fled the scene, brutally struck her in the water.

The victim was celebrating a friend's birthday on a family boat.

Days later, authorities located the boat and identified its owner, 78-year-old Cuban millionaire Carlos Guillermo Alonso, as the pilot who struck the girl and continued on his way.

Alonso, who arrived in the United States in the 60s through Operation Pedro Pan, is a businessman in the technology sector, founder and director of Technical Systems & Equipment Corp., a company located in Doral specialized in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems.

Together with his wife Magaly Alonso, they are the owners of a huge mansion valued between 3.5 and 4 million dollars in Coral Gables, in the exclusive Hammock Oaks, a gated community with private schools and lakes.

The residence, about 5,600 square feet, has four bedrooms, four bathrooms, a pool, and its own dock. There, his 42-foot Boston Whaler boat was found, which was seized by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC).

The authorities verified that Alonso was the only person on board the boat and did not stop after the accident, as reported by the FWC.

The girl, from Miami Beach, fell off her wakeboard one mile off the coast and while being towed by another boat, she was struck by the Cuban's Boston Whaler.

She was waiting to be picked up by her boat, wearing a life jacket and with her wakeboard still attached when another boat crashed into her. She died from her injuries," Officer George Reynaud told ABC.

Ella Adler was the granddaughter of Michael Adler, the United States ambassador to Belgium, who in the past was president of the Greater Miami Jewish Federation and vice president of the Board of Directors of Florida International University.

She was a dancer and performed in over 100 presentations of The Nutcracker by the Miami City Ballet and was part of the dance team of Ransom.
