Florida authorities confirmed that the boat confiscated this Tuesday by agents of the state's Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) was the cause of the accident where the young skier lost her life Ella Adler in Biscayne Bay, Miami.

This is what the officer indicated George Reynolds in statements shared by the events site Only in Dade, which the day before published a video in which two FWC boats were seen escorting a third boat that responded to the characteristics described by witnesses to the tragedy.

“FWC officers have identified a boat that fits the description of the vessel that struck Ella Adler. The ship is in our custody and its owner is cooperating. “We would like to thank the entire public for their help and support in this investigation,” Reynald said.

Likewise, he conveyed a message of gratitude from the president of the FWC Commission, Rodney Barreto, to the officials and those from various police agencies who have worked and continue to work tirelessly on this investigation

“The FWC and its officials have requested additional resources from other parts of the state and have worked around the clock to find the vessel involved in the accident. “I am pleased to report that we have a ship in custody that matches the description,” Barreto said in his statement.

Adler, a 15-year-old teenager with a promising future as a student and dancer, tragically lost his life while skiing in the vicinity of Nixon Beach when a boat, which then fled the scene, brutally hit her.

The victim was celebrating a friend's birthday on a family boat. According to 7 News Miami, the parents of the birthday girl were driving the boat at the time of the fatal accident.

A witness to the incident described the scene as desolate. “There is a lot of blood in the water,” said one of the lifeguards who reported the event through radio transmissions.

FWC officers along with Miami-Dade police responded immediately, stopping several boats in the area and cordoning off the No Name Harbor Marina in Bill Baggs Cape Florida State Park, in an effort to locate whoever was responsible for the hit-and-run.

However, despite the identification and confiscation of the boat involved in the incident, and the cooperation of its owner with the authorities, little else is known about what happened and the responsibility of the driver of the powerful boat, whose identity by the moment is unknown.
