The government in Villa Clara decides: "Up to 8 hours without power for every 3 hours of electricity."

The government of the province of Villa Clara informed its population that they will only have three hours of electricity for every eight hours of power outage, this is due to the worsening of the energy crisis that Cubans are facing these days.

The information was published on the Facebook page of the Provincial Government of that territory, which includes an analysis carried out by the authorities of the Communist Party of that territory, in which they claim to have taken into account "the suggestions of the people expressed mostly through social media."

It was decided that starting at 1 am this Monday, May 20, the rotation of all integrated circuits will begin in 16 groups," says the mentioned note.

So they will be off for up to 8 hours, and with light, only 3. They mention and exemplify that "if they turn me off at 1 am, from then on I have 8 hours without light and 3 hours with light."

The population's comments quickly appeared on the publication.

"I wonder: Are they going to close workplaces and schools because nobody who spends the whole night and early morning without power will be able to go to work or send their children to school the next day? Furthermore, they have to take advantage of the hours with power to do household chores. This measure that the authorities of the province are taking is only going to bring more problems," said an Internet user.

In my modest opinion, every day we regress further. The Special Period seems small compared to this. It's a culmination of poorly made decisions, and the people are the ones who suffer," expressed another internet user.

"Lack of respect and they are abusers, they have the people in misery and they can't even sleep anymore. I tell you that there are no words for the shamelessness they have," another user added.

The severe energy crisis led the government in that province to adjust its teaching schedule, with two hours of classes in the morning and two in the afternoon.

The novelty is that "in the early morning hours, recreational and complementary activities will take place until the start of the first class shift and will extend until the usual time," Villa Clara authorities indicated.
