The family of young Karildi Marín, who disappeared on December 14 in Havana, is desperate as, nearly six months after the incident, they have not received any news about her, although they hold onto hope of hearing from her at some point.

Yoandri Marín, the brother of the young woman, posted on Facebook this Monday that it has been “over five months and we still don't know anything,” reiterating that she “left home on December 14, 2023, at 8:00 PM, heading towards El Cerro.”

However, she pointed out that "the family does not lose hope of hearing from my sister" and once again shared her phone number, urging anyone with information to notify them at 54291630, regardless of the time.

Karildi Marín's father recalled this past Mother's Day that his daughter, the mother of a small girl, is still missing.

Tomás Marín shared several photos of Karildi on Facebook in her role as a mother, including one from when she was pregnant just before giving birth, as well as others with her daughter, who is only a year old.

"A path of blessings for my granddaughter and her mother," she wrote in the group Denouncing Crimes in Cuba.

The police's poor handling of the case involving the young woman's disappearance has been criticized multiple times by Cuban internet users, who have denounced the ineffectiveness of their work.

Previously, the complaints and calls for better investigation came from the woman's family, but the case has inspired solidarity from many people.
