The clash between the reggaeton artists El Taiger and Ja Rulay in Varadero that took place last Sunday has the Cuban showbiz scene inside and outside the island more than ever keeping an eye on social media.
After the fight, its protagonists have turned to their Instagram accounts to give their version of the events, and one of the latest to speak out about the controversy has been El Taiger.
The urban music singer has done a live stream where he has revealed that he withdrew from the scene because he and those accompanying him in the dispute saw that Ja Rulay was hanging out with armed police officers wearing bulletproof vests.
"I am amazed by that whole sketch you put on social media, where in the end it was your mom who was doing the recording. What you're not saying is that the people who were with you were the ones organizing the event, and you were with the command group. I don't know how they were with you, because those people were wearing bulletproof vests, with three more police officers beside you, and that wasn't filmed," El Taiger said initially.
Then, he adds: "I am saying this here now so that they go out to find out who those from the command were who were with you. Because when we were about to shoot at you, when we were going to hit you, I was the one who noticed that you were with people from the command. I said 'don't shoot him, he's with police officers'. Because if you hit a police officer, that's when things really get complicated. If you had been with trackside kids, we would have hit you hard yesterday. But we had to be cautious because you were with police officers."
We never ran away at any moment, we were just feeling it out because you were with all those people, with the police. If you have a knife in your hand and I have a microphone in my pocket, I have to feel it out because I'm not a fool. I'm from the track, so when I lock you up, you'll see. I'm sure that after this direct hit, you won't dare to act up again," he concluded.
