A young Cuban man identified as Deyvis Cancio Triana was murdered last Saturday in Havana, according to reports on social media.
According to a post by internet user Ernesto Sánchez on Facebook, the man was shot in the mouth and stabbed in the shoulder.
They found him dead on a street in Old Havana in the early hours of Saturday, and it is speculated that the cause of the crime was "a fight with his fellow religion followers," the post details.
Cancio Triana, affectionately called Tatín, was a jeweler and lived in Cojímar.
Several people on the social network lamented the passing of the young man and sent condolences to his family. "I am speechless sister, he got along with everyone and was not involved in anything," commented an internet user.
This event is part of the increasing criminality in Cuba, where several deaths have been reported in different areas of the country in the last week.
On Saturday, it was reported that a tumultuous brawl in a neighborhood in the city of Holguín ended in the murder of a young Cuban man.
The body of the young Cuban man Geyler Castillo Benítez, who had been missing for a month in the municipality of Campechuela in Granma, also appeared over the weekend. The corpse was found on the coast in an advanced state of decomposition and with signs of violence, as confirmed by the family on social media.
Similarly, a massive fight among teenagers at the Finca de los Monos in Havana ended with an official tally of six injured over the weekend.
