Eileen Morales, known as "The Cuban from TikTok" and protagonist of the series Deleted from PRONYR TV, shared a video on the platform highlighting the advantages of living in an efficiency.
In her video, the young Cuban woman took a virtual tour of her efficiency and mentioned that paying $850 per month for it is significantly more economical than the $3,500 that a house can cost or the $2,000 for an apartment.
For the TikToker, who has more than 800,000 followers online, saving on rent allows her to allocate resources to other important expenses and indulge herself in whatever she pleases: "I buy designer shoes and handbags that I want, I paid for my car, my Mercedes Benz, in March, I finished paying it off in full."
The video has captured the attention of a wide audience on TikTok, accumulating over 1,000 comments and 17,200 likes in just 16 hours.
In the comments, many reacted by sharing their own experiences and showing their support. "As long as you feel good, perfect, I moved to an apartment because I didn't even have space for a shoe rack, I pay $400 more but I feel comfortable which is the main thing," "I also live in an efficiency and I live happily and with great pride"; "That's how a smart person thinks"; "The most important thing is that you are happy. And I love your transparency"; "You're doing very well, we all start from the bottom until we manage to have our own. Everyone told me 'efficiency', and those same people are still renting today while I enjoy my own house"; "To those who criticize you, don't pay attention to them. You're doing great," reads among the messages, where there were also questions from some, amazed at how little she was paying.
