Elieser Emilio González Zayas, a 27-year-old motorcyclist, died this Monday after colliding with a police vehicle on Sunday night in Santiago de Cuba and undergoing two surgical interventions.
The communicator Yosmany Mayeta explained on his Facebook account that relatives and acquaintances of Emilio González Zayas informed him that the young man passed away on Monday afternoon.

Mayeta reported on Sunday night that the incident, in which Gonzalez's motorcycle and a police car were involved, occurred on the Cuabitas highway. This town, located on the outskirts of the city, is where the young man resided.
The motorcyclist was driving at high speed and, after the collision, was left lying on the street, according to eyewitnesses.
The police officer driving the patrol car appeared nervous and shocked, to the point that pedestrians had to intervene to calm him down.
This Monday, an accident also occurred in Santiago de Cuba in which a car had an incident on the road, requiring the intervention of police, paramedics, and firefighters at the scene.
Reports on social media indicate that there may be fatalities in the incident; however, neither the authorities nor the official media have reported on what happened.
Also, this Monday, a crane operator ran over and killed a young man who was crossing the street at the intersection of 100 and 51 in Marianao, Havana, according to preliminary reports.
In the tragic traffic accident, the victim was crushed by the wheels of the heavy vehicle, as shown in the photos posted by the communicator Mayeta on Facebook. Although pixelated, the images are striking in their rawness.
