One injured after a tree falls on a bicycle parking area in Ciego de Ávila.

The injured person was in a bicitaxi under the tree, in the park of the Ciego de Ávila train terminal.

A huge flamboyant tree fell last Saturday in the bicycle parking area of the train terminal in the province of Ciego de Ávila, resulting in one person injured.

The internet user known as Salamandra Ballester livestreamed on Facebook, showing the damage caused by the falling tree, which included a bike taxi that was directly hit.

"The man (from the pedicab) miraculously survived," said during the broadcast, which also revealed the damage caused to the park area and the bicycles parked there.

He added that another person got hit in the back, but was okay.

According to the user who posted the video, the tree fell due to the recent rains in the area.

"Full of termites," he commented upon observing the place where the tree split.

When the rainy months begin, a prelude to the cyclonic season, it is urgent to prune the trees to prevent accidents. However, in the cities of Cuba, this task is rarely carried out, which results in regrettable events like this, due to the inaction of the regime.

A similar incident occurred at Fraternity Park in Havana, when two trees collapsed, resulting in three injured people, including two minors.

Also in Havana, but in the Cerro municipality, a tree fell on a vintage car traveling along Pedro Pérez street, causing a 45-year-old man to die from the impact.

The victim was traveling in the passenger seat, and the driver of the vehicle was also injured.
