A young woman from Santiago de Cuba who was stabbed by her partner last Saturday had to undergo emergency surgery for the second time on Wednesday.
The victim, named Ana Keilan Portillo, underwent surgery at the Provincial Hospital Saturnino Lora, where she is currently admitted.
According to what independent journalist Yosmany Mayeta Portillo was told, the woman's wound got infected and she even vomited "fecal matter."
Ana Keilan is reported to be in serious condition and evolving satisfactorily, following this new surgical intervention," specified on Facebook.
The reporter added that this morning there was a rumor that the young woman had passed away.

Ana was attacked on Saturday with a sharp weapon and suffered injuries to the kidney and colon, which required surgery.
On Wednesday, close individuals reported that her physical condition had worsened and there were no resources available at the hospital to care for her.
