They are asking for help to identify a woman who stole three packages from the entrance of a house in Miami-Dade.

The robbery occurred on Monday, July 8th.

The Miami Springs police have asked for help in identifying a woman who stole three packages from the front of a residence in that area of Miami-Dade County.

In a video posted on the Police's Instagram account, you can see a slim woman with black hair getting out of a white car and approaching the door of a house three times to steal the packages and take them to the car, where the driver of the vehicle is waiting.

The images were recorded on Monday, July 8th at around 12:20 p.m. The police did not disclose the exact address of the house where the robbery took place.

At the moment, it is unknown what was inside the packages or how long they were outside of the house.

Any person with information is asked to call the Miami Springs Police Department at 305-888-9711.

Similar complaints are very common in the rest of Florida and even throughout the country.

"We know that it is a national problem," said Jose Torres, spokesperson for the Hialeah police in October of last year, who recommended that this type of theft should always be reported to the authorities because it helps increase surveillance in areas where there is an increase in reports."

Videos often go viral showcasing the ease with which thieves approach the entrances of homes and grab packages.

Some do it with external support that watches while the theft is committed. However, others don't even have that, they simply grab the bags and walk away from the place, even uninterested in the possibility of being recorded by a surveillance camera.

In addition to reporting thefts to the police, to prevent this type of incident, authorities recommend asking a neighbor to collect the package if you won't be at home, considering having the delivery made at work or other safe places, as well as picking up the merchandise at the store.
