Cuban records attempted car theft in broad daylight in Miami

The thief left the car unlocked after opening the driver's side door.

A thief was caught on camera by a cell phone while stealing a car from a parking lot in Miami.

The video was shared by the Cuban-American journalist Mario J. Pentón, who claimed to have received it from a follower.

"Hello, Mario. This happened near 5750 NW and 183 St. Look at how they break into a car to steal it in broad daylight. A family member of mine filmed it and called the police," wrote the journalist from Martí Noticias channel.

In the video, you can see how a man gets out of a parked car and tries to open the door of the car next to his. At first, he stops due to the passage of another vehicle, but then he achieves his goal.

Finally, he leaves the door of the vandalized car open, allegedly waiting for someone else to take it.
