Red mannequins in a store in Camagüey spark mockery on social media

Some unique red mannequins displayed at the entrance of a store in the city of Camagüey sparked all kinds of jokes and mockery on social media in recent hours.

In addition to the striking red color, another notable detail in the two female mannequins - one with a wig and the other without hair - is the expression of their eyes, as they even have painted eyelashes, eyebrows, and very defined lips, which gives them a terrifying touch.

"In #Camagüey when we don't arrive, we go over. What 'beautiful' mannequins! Tremendous 'aesthetic', especially in the eyes. In the very heart of the city, and they have no shame in having those things there," pointed out journalist José Luis Tan Estrada when he published the images, which went viral in a few hours.

Some soon pointed out a resemblance between one of the mannequins and Gabriela, the host of the show "Con filo."

"It's always Halloween! Oh no, I got the slogan wrong"; "Represents 'the fire' that Canel will be in when Maduro falls in Venezuela this July 28, gentlemen, this is coming to an end!"; "Culture has no fixed moment, it's like the guije"; "The gaze is the same reflection of Cuban reality, horror"; "Anyone passing by there at night a bit entertained might get something"; "Summer mode revolutionizing"; "Wow, they suffer from nuclear radiation"; have been some of the funny comments generated by the strange figures.

"One must enter the shops in Camagüey with a bottle of holy water and a Bible," said journalist Claudia Padrón Cueto while sharing the images.

"When I hear Canel say that we will achieve worthy and inclusive prosperity," commented José Raúl Gallego.

"That mannequin saw what the dollar will be priced at in December"; "That must be funded by the CIA"; "The achievements of the revolution are getting strange," commented other internet users.

As expected, the first memes have started to emerge.

In another of the memes, one of the mannequins appears next to Díaz-Canel like a malevolent apparition.

The public scorn reached such an extreme that the mannequins - which were located in a store on República Street - have already been removed from the entrance of the establishment, as reported by José Luis Tan Estrada himself.
