A Cuban made a post on social media asking for urgent help for a dog in Mayabeque whose owners emigrated and left the animal in the care of someone who no longer wants to take responsibility.

On the social network Facebook, user Yenney Caballero posted in the group "I Love and Protect Animals" about a two-year-old pitbull that has skin problems, but has already been treated with medication, and its overall health status is good.

The situation is critical, as the person in charge has expressed intentions to sacrifice the animal if a solution is not found. The appeal is for someone to adopt it and provide a responsible home, preventing the dog from continuing to suffer and being subjected to an unfair death.

The publication emphasizes the urgency of the situation and requests the spreading of the message to find a family that can change the dog's life.

A Cuban woman who moved to Spain took with her her seven pets: six dogs and one cat.

Regla Doreste Reyes shared her story on the Facebook profile of the Animal Protection Society in Cuba to serve as an example and inspiration.

"To show that with sacrifice we can help our furry friends and if we leave Cuba, not to leave them abandoned in the street, nor to give them to anyone. They feel our absence, suffer, and become depressed," she assured.

In June, animal advocates also sought a new home for a little dog that was left on the street after its owners emigrated to Spain.

This type of situation is common in Cuba, where the abandonment of pets increases due to the emigration of their owners, creating an animal protection problem.
