A Latina shares on TikTok her method for saving $20,000 in six months by working nonstop in the U.S.

A young Ecuadorian went viral on TikTok after sharing that she managed to save $20,000 in just six months after moving to the United States. After many users labeled her a liar, she explained how she achieved it in another video.

"I arrived on a Tuesday and by Friday I was already working," says @majo_lalangui, who recalls working from Monday to Monday, starting her days having breakfast at work and, due to her long hours, leaving the office already having a snack, which allowed her to save on food. Additionally, she lived with four other people, and the rent, along with the utility bills, was split among everyone. "The rent was just 300 dollars. The bills were very low because no one spent time at home. We only went to shower and sleep."

Another key factor in his savings was his austere lifestyle. "I didn't spend on clothes because I worked every day and had no time to go out or buy anything, much less to show it off. My life was all about working." He explains that he arrived in the United States with his mind focused on saving, which helped him avoid the temptation to spend on unnecessary things. "I knew this country; I had come on vacation since 2015, so I knew what the pace was like and I adapted. I wasn't the typical person who arrives and goes crazy buying everything they see."

Finally, he assures that his positive mindset and spiritual approach also played a role in his success. "When one comes with God in the heart and with a focused mind, that and more is possible," he concludes in his video.

Her story has generated all kinds of reactions on TikTok, from those who support her and admire her discipline to those who continue to doubt the $20,000 figure.

In the comments, she clarified that she earned more than a thousand dollars a week working 70 hours a week in restaurants.
