An electric motorcycle rider suffered multiple fractures after being struck by a Moskvitch this Monday in the city of Holguín.
The accident occurred when the motorcyclist did not respect the STOP sign, which caused the collision; however, despite the seriousness of the incident, the driver is out of danger, according to a report in the Facebook group "Accidentes en Holguin."
According to Iván Alejandro Marrero Garrido, the accident occurred at the intersection of Arias and Narciso López streets.
In the comments section, Juana María Pupo Domingo mentioned that the young man involved in the accident is out of danger, although he suffered fractures in his right arm and three ribs.
Additionally, he identified the affected individual as Serguey, a professor at the University of Holguín, and expressed: "Thank God he is alive, we hope for his swift recovery."
The incident was also shared in the Facebook group "ACCIDENTES BUSES & CAMIONES por más experiencia y menos víctimas!", where a person named Loredana Oviche commented: "Driving in the city of Holguín is so difficult and dangerous."
On this matter, he pointed out that the blocks are short and the houses reach the very corner, reducing visibility for the driver.
"Stop signs are often ignored, and if you are on a main street, you drive with fear because if those who are supposed to stop don’t, you also get messed up," he emphasized.
This Monday, a collision between two motorcycles also occurred on the National Highway in Santiago de Cuba, leaving at least three people injured, including a young man who had to undergo surgery.

This weekend, a state-owned Cuban car lost a front wheel and broke the windshield, in addition to sustaining heavy damage to the front, after colliding with a tractor's cart in the municipality of San Juan y Martínez, Pinar del Río. The driver of the car and another person were seriously injured due to the impact.
