Cubans in Hialeah are preparing a caldosa while waiting for Hurricane Milton.

Hurricane Milton is about to arrive, and Cubans in Hialeah are preparing a hearty stew to share with loved ones during these moments before the cyclone.

Amid the anticipation of Hurricane Milton's arrival on the west coast of Florida, a group of Cubans in Hialeah has decided to face the situation with optimism and a culinary tradition.

Cubans in Hialeah prepared a caldosa for the whole family and close friends because Milton is far from their area, but since yesterday it has been bringing heavy rains and some flooding.

The brief video showing the bubbling broth, with its pieces of corn on the cob, meat, and root vegetables, was shared on social media from the Instagram account YGY Marble & Granite, LLC, a remodeling business based in the City that Progresses.

The owners of YGY Marble & Granite took the opportunity to join with their loved ones and share together before the hurricane arrived in the region.

Hurricane Milton, a category 5 on the Saffir-Simpson scale, is expected to make landfall in Tampa in the coming hours. It is potentially deadly and has caused concern throughout Florida, with a massive exodus of people seeking to reach safe areas away from the storm as soon as possible.
