Alex Duvall also tattoos the initials LBMA in tribute to El Taiger.

"The legends never die," wrote Duvall on Instagram.

The Cuban singer Alex Duvall has been another artist who has taken on the initials LBMA, following the death in Miami last Thursday of the popular reggaeton artist José Manuel Carbajal Zaldívar, widely known as El Taiger.

"Legends never die," Duvall wrote on Instagram alongside a video that depicts part of the process of making the tattoo on his chest.

"You inspired generations, created a movement, and were the background music at every Cuban party since you began your career. The genre will not be the same without your presence, but many of us will continue with your legacy," said the singer who collaborated musically with El Taiger in 2022 on a song called "Mala."

Just hours after the news of El Taiger's death last Thursday, after fighting for his life for a week following a gunshot wound to the head, Lenier Mesa and Dany Ome also immortalized the phrase LBMA on their bodies.

The initials, which were a mystery for a long time and which the late reggaeton artist proudly wore on his chest, mean "The Beast, the Machine, the Animal." Words he used to describe himself in the Cuban urban genre. The singer usually accompanied these initials with the phrase "The best in the world."

The death of El Taiger, who left behind his four children and his living grandmother, has shocked both colleagues in the genre and fans of the reggaeton artist who have set up an altar outside the Jackson Memorial Hospital to pay tribute to him.
