"The American dream is not about showing off, it's about living": Cuban shares three truths about El Yuma

"The American Dream has its price."

The popular Cuban TikToker Arguelles Positivo (@arguelles364) shared a new reflection that is generating a lot of discussion among his followers.

In his video titled "El Yuma," which at the time of this note had already surpassed 1,800 likes, Arguelles addresses one of the topics most concerning to Cubans who emigrate to the United States: Is it really as easy as it seems?

The Cuban begins by stating a truth that many live day by day: "The Yuma is the country of stress; if you're not stressed about one thing, you're stressed about another." But his message is not pessimistic. On the contrary, he accompanies it with three key pieces of advice for those seeking to succeed in the "American dream."

The first is to accept that you will be alone in many difficult moments. "There are no friends or family, it's you against the world." The second, avoid getting into debt to keep up appearances: "Don't get into debts you can't pay." And the third, the most important: with effort and perseverance, you will succeed. "The American dream is for people like you, people who don't give up."

His followers quickly resonated with him and shared their experiences and opinions. "Brother, you are a champion; you always speak from the heart," commented one of his fans. Others agreed with him but added their nuances: "It's true, but I prefer this stress to the one I left in Cuba." The reality is that many prefer to face the challenges in the Yuma due to the opportunities it offers, as other users pointed out: "Yes, it's tough, but here you can fight for what you want and achieve it."

This is not the first time Arguelles has reflected on the topic. In previous videos, he had already shared how the Yuma can be a place of great opportunities, but at a cost. On this occasion, his message once again sparks interesting conversations among those who have already experienced this.

And you, what do you think? Do you believe that the American dream is worth all that effort? Tell us!
