Cuban in the USA: "Ross employee threatened to call the police if I didn't fold the clothes."

A Cuban woman residing in the United States reported on TikTok that a sales associate at the Ross store threatened to call the police if she did not fold the clothes she had tried on in the fitting room.

A Cuban resident in the United States reported through her TikTok account an incident that someone she knows experienced in a Ross store.

According to what she described in the video, the shop assistant threatened to call the police if she didn't fold the clothes she had tried on in the fitting room. The incident has sparked an intense debate on social media, especially among the Cuban community, which has shown its support for the young woman.

In the video shared by the user Karly Beauty Services (@karlybeautyservices), the Cuban explains that this person went to the fitting room to try on several garments, as is customary in clothing stores.

Upon leaving, the sales clerk asked her to take care of folding the clothing items, to which she refused, arguing that it was not her responsibility. In response to her answer, the employee threatened to call the authorities if she did not comply with the request.

The users' reaction was immediate. Many criticized the attitude of the saleswoman, pointing out that her threat was exaggerated and that folding clothes should not be the customers' responsibility. Others, however, defended that shoppers should help maintain order in the stores.

"Not just at Ross. The right thing to do was to hang the clothes on their rack. You are not right" or "It's not your obligation, that's true, but it’s also about respecting the work of others. Would you like someone to come to your workplace, whatever it may be, and mess up what you have created just because they are a customer?" are some of the reactions that the video has sparked within the TikTok community.

What do you think?
