Emotional tribute from El Yonki to El Taiger at the concert: "We lost a brother, a colleague who left behind a very large legacy."

"And with this terrible event, it left us a great lesson: Life is the greatest treasure a human being has."

This weekend, amid an emotional concert, El Yonki dedicated some heartbreaking words to his brother and colleague El Taiger, who tragically passed away on October 10. On stage, El Yonki fondly recalled the musical legacy left by José Manuel Carbajal Saldívar, the real name of El Taiger, and how he impacted the lives of everyone who knew him, both personally and professionally.

"It's difficult to stand on this stage where our brother gave it all," El Yonki began. With his voice full of emotion, he added: "If there was an artist who sacrificed everything for music, it was José Manuel Carbajal Saldívar." The audience responded with a standing ovation in honor of the deceased artist, while Yonki continued with his tribute: "All of us who are here tonight, in one way or another, are connected to him, to his music, and to his legacy."

The Cuban rapper also reflected on the importance of valuing life and how this tragic event serves as a lesson to learn to "love and cherish each other more because life is very short." In a message that seemed directed both at his colleagues in the genre and at his fans, El Yonki emphasized: "The simple act of respecting is worth more than the success and money in the world."

"A brother left us, a colleague who left a very large legacy, and with this terrible event, he left us a great lesson: Life is the greatest treasure that a human being has," he wrote while sharing the video of his tribute during the show on Instagram.

The networks erupted with touching comments after his speech. "El Yonki has a heart that doesn't fit in his chest," wrote one user, while another expressed: "One of the wisest." Fans of the late El Taiger did not hold back, fondly remembering his music and legacy: "Forever LBMA," "You are great, always José," were some of the many affectionate reactions.

In the days leading up to the concert, El Yonki had shared several posts on Instagram expressing his pain over the loss of his great friend. "I'll hold on to this hug," he wrote next to a photo where both appear together.

In another more heartbreaking post, he confessed: "In a few hours it’s my birthday and it will be a very difficult birthday for me; I am going through the loss of my mom and now the loss of a great friend."

This weekend, the final farewell to El Taiger took place in Miami, with a ceremony open to his fans and, afterwards, a more intimate goodbye with his loved ones and close friends. El Taiger's legacy remains alive among his people, his music, and all those who admired him in life.
