Cuban narrates the sad odyssey of preparing a package for Cuba from the USA: "It's worth it."

A Cuban resident in the United States, known on TikTok as @yanimg30, shared in a video the difficult experience of preparing a 5-pound package to send to her family in Cuba.


In a video uploaded to the TikTok platform, the Cuban identified as @yanimg30, who resides in the United States, shared the complicated experience of preparing a package of just 5 pounds to send to her family in Cuba.

The post, which has generated thousands of interactions and comments, offers a glimpse into the reality that many Cuban emigrants face when trying to help their loved ones on the island.

In the video, the young woman shows the various steps involved in assembling the shipment, from choosing the products in the supermarket to the final packaging.

According to the account, the mission of selecting each item becomes a true challenge due to the need to optimize space and weight, carefully choosing food, hygiene items, and a few treats in order to try to meet the basic needs of his family in Cuba.

"It's as stressful as sending 20 pounds," confesses @yanimg30. Among the wide variety of products available in U.S. markets, the young woman must prioritize what is truly needed while also trying to include small details that bring joy to her loved ones.

The process, moreover, is not only economically costly but also represents an emotional burden. The emigrant describes how difficult it is to try to think about all the needs of the family and decide what is the most urgent. However, despite the exhausting effort involved in organizing the package, at the end of the video she firmly expresses: "It's worth it."

The video by @yanimg30 reflects a situation that is familiar to many Cuban families, where help from abroad has become crucial in light of the economic crisis the country is experiencing.

In the comments of the video, many Cuban users have shared their own experiences, agreeing that, although the process is complicated and requires sacrifice, the satisfaction of helping the family always prevails.
