A couple of Latinos shows what it's like to live in a car in the USA: "We try to stay in safe places like Walmart."

Colombian couple in the U.S. shares on TikTok their daily life living in a car instead of a house.

A couple of Colombians living in the United States is sharing through TikTok what their day-to-day life is like living in a car instead of a house or apartment. Through their account on the social network, Edgar Villa Rodríguez (@edgarvilla.b) and his partner show what it's like to live in a Kia Forte, the model of their car.

The couple, who has several viral videos, has become popular on social media by showcasing their lifestyle. Among the most popular videos are how they sleep, how they clean what they consider their home, and their daily routines.

In the comments on their posts, the couple explains that their intention is to obtain an RV or a truck in the near future. Additionally, they do not consider this lifestyle to be a sacrifice and clarify that it is not illegal.

"It's not a sacrifice, and it's not against the law. We enjoy traveling and getting to know new places; why rent something where we won't live? To pretend?" Edgar commented in response to criticism.

To feel safe at night, they clarify that they look for secure places. "We always try to stay in safe places, like plazas, Walmart or sites that aren’t dangerous," he explains.

This reality, although challenging, reflects the situation of many people in the United States, who prefer to lead this lifestyle, often pushed by the cost of living and rising rents.
