Latina in the U.S. turns a garage into her home and her video tour goes viral: Nearly 1 million views

Living in a small space in the United States

A Latina mother living in the United States has revolutionized TikTok with a tour of her small studio that she has turned into a true home. Although at first glance her "little house" seems simple, what has impressed users of the network the most is the creativity with which she has made the most of every corner. And it's not just any place: the TikToker MariaPolonia (@MariaPolonia) lives in Lawrence, Massachusetts, and pays $1,400 per month, plus utilities. That's where many have jumped in surprise!

In the video that already has nearly a million views, he shares how he has made a garage his home, showing each space with affection: from his favorite little island in the kitchen to the hydrangeas that his neighbor gives him. "This small space costs $1,400," he comments, making it clear that although the place is small, he does not skimp on decoration and organization. Not even the shoes are out of place; he stores them strategically in the kitchen!

The clip, accompanied by the song "Love Nwantiti" by CKay, has exploded in views, which continue to grow, and has received an avalanche of reactions. “I was left ajiii, how beautiful! I loved this mansion because it's a mansion, God bless your home,” wrote one follower. Others couldn't help but comment on the rental price: “Even though it's small, you have it very organized and clean, but $1,400 for that space, wow, people are really taking advantage,” pointed out another user.

Despite some not believing how expensive the rent is, most are delighted with the way she has decorated her home. "That's what you call a clean woman who isn't afraid of success," commented one user, while another added, "You are an interior decorator, an architect, and you played a lot of Tetris because you made a whole house out of that tiny space."

Some followers suggested adding dividers to separate her bed from the rest of the living room, but she prefers everything to remain fluid: “I’ve thought about it, but I feel it would make the space look smaller and I don’t like tripping over things,” she replied.

What has resonated most with the audience is the sincerity and humility of this immigrant of Latin origin, who is not ashamed to show her small space, but rather presents it with pride. "Here in the United States, you make do as best as you can," she mentions as she shows how she has transformed such a modest space into something that, as many comment, looks like a villa.

The video has garnered over 54.4k likes and hundreds of comments from users congratulating her on her ability to keep everything spotless. "What matters is not the size, but how you make it yours," "Your space is small but full of love," "I lived in a studio and was very happy," are some of the reactions accompanying this viral post.
