Cuban in the U.S. reveals his worst nightmare with Cuba: Has it happened to you too?

Cuban in the U.S. shares his recurring dream about Cuba, and many on TikTok relate to it.

Have you ever dreamed that you returned to Cuba and could not come back? Well, you are not alone, and this has once again been demonstrated in the reactions to the video of the Cuban TikToker @marky_barrera, where he recounted, amid laughter and some drama, his recurring nightmare: dreaming that he travels to Cuba without having legal residency and gets stuck there, unable to return to the United States.

In the video, Marky describes how distressing it is to wake up right at that moment, with a racing heart, until he realizes that he is still in the U.S. "I can't be the only one who dreams this," he says, while asking his followers to tell him if it happens to them too, and they have not been slow to share that they suffer from the same 'trauma.'

"I end up sitting in the park of my city with plastic flip-flops in my dream"; "I thought I was the only one who had those nightmares"; "I told my therapist about this kind of dream I had, now I'm going to tell her that all Cubans dream the same nightmare"; "Literally, I wake up crying and with my heart racing"; "I cry in my dream because I can't go back, and when I wake up I say 'thank God I'm still here'", many agreed to have the same "migratory nightmare."

Apparently, this dream is quite common among Cubans who are outside their country, especially among those who still do not have legal residency. Some, even after obtaining it, continue to have the same dream: “This is a dream we share as Cubans,” says one follower, while another claims that they have been away for years and still dream of getting trapped on the island.
