Miami Police comments on progress in the investigation into the death of El Taiger.

The police promise updates on the case "very soon."

Manuel A. Morales, head of the Miami Police, assured that there are significant advancements in the investigation into the death of El Taiger, and they believe that the case may be resolved very soon, providing answers to many questions being posed by the followers of the murdered reggaeton artist.

However, Morales was evasive in a recent interview with Univision journalist Mario Vallejo.

The police chief did not confirm but also did not deny the existence of a video that shows the moment when José Manuel Carbajal (El Taiger) was shot in the early hours of October 3rd.

"At this moment, we are not ready to discuss that level of detail regarding what we have in the investigation," said Morales, who emphasized the importance of protecting certain aspects of the case so as not to hinder the detectives' work.

"You can assume whatever you want, but verification from the Police Department at this moment, we are not ready to provide," Morales added when the journalist took the first response as a yes regarding the existence of the audiovisual material.

When questioned about the alleged importance of a video to clarify the case, he responded:

"Any type of evidence in this case would be key to having the opportunity not just to make an arrest. The easy part is making the arrest. The difficult part is having enough evidence for the case to go to court in order to achieve a conviction at the level that our legal system requires."

In response to questions about whether they have the video of who was driving the car, and if there is more than one person involved, Morales also did not show a willingness to provide a clear answer.

"We have a lot of evidence at this time. We are not ready to discuss the details of the evidence," he responded first; "At this moment, we are not ready to disclose those details," he added in response to the second question.

Manuel Morales assured that they have "plenty of evidence in this case," and that "the detectives have worked hard to acquire it."

He also stated that they have received support from many people who have been willing to collaborate in the case.

To the last and most important of the questions, regarding whether anyone is under arrest, he answered no, but added, "very soon you will have many of the answers to the questions you have asked me today."

In the interview published by Mario Vallejo on his social networks, Damian Valdez-Galloso was not mentioned at any time, despite being considered from the beginning as a "person of interest" in the investigation.

A key video in the investigation.

In recent days, Univision journalist Daniel Benítez referenced a key video that would show the exact moment when El Taiger was shot, which ultimately led to his death, but he added that the images alone would not provide all the evidence about who did it.

The communicator added that sources from the police assured him that they do not believe - as was speculated at some point on social media - that the murder of El Taiger has anything to do with the Latin Kings and, in general, with criminal gangs.

Benítez indicated that for the authorities, Damian Valdez-Galloso continued to be the most important person in the investigation, although so far there was still no arrest warrant against him.

Alexander Otaola also referred to the same video and provided more details. Although he clarified that he had not seen it, he mentioned that he was told what is shown in the footage. The influencer said that the video shows El Taiger arriving at Damian's house in Hialeah in the early hours "visibly angry."

He said that after kicking a gate, he saw a person, a man from that property, and that after a struggle, the person who came out of the house grabbed a gun and shot El Taiger, who fell to his knees.

The head of the Miami Police, Manuel Morales, ruled out in a press conference shortly after the incident that what happened at El Taiger was a suicide attempt, categorizing the event as a "criminal act."

Morales requested citizen collaboration to locate Damian Valdez-Galloso, 49 years old, who has been declared a "person of interest" in the investigation of the reggaeton artist's case. According to previously revealed information, police investigations indicated that he was one of the last people to be with the reggaeton artist before he was found with a bullet wound.

An aunt of Damian Valdez-Galloso requested that the family of Damian not be criminalized on social media and that they not be exposed.

El Taiger died on October 10 after being in critical condition for a week at Jackson Memorial Hospital, after being found in a vehicle with a gunshot wound to the head.

This Friday, it was news that Jorge Jr., cousin of El Taiger, announced his imminent arrival in Cuba with the ashes of the reggaeton artist.
