A year ago, young Cuban Aldo Góngora arrived in Nicaragua, hoping to improve his family's economic situation. After working as a barber, he decided to start a business selling pork sandwiches, which he named “Q’Rico Asere.”
"The main idea was to bring my wife and my daughter here," Góngora explained to Noticieros CDNN23.
His job at the barber shop wasn't generating enough income to cover the cost of the tickets, which is why he decided to start selling roast pork sandwiches.
After his wife arrived in Nicaragua, he included her in the new venture.
He reported that they started to prepare the roasted pig in the oven, following the traditional Cuban recipe that includes meat, pickled cucumber, a touch of salt, and "mojito" for seasoning.
He pointed out that, unlike other versions, he chose to keep the recipe simple and true to its Cuban roots, resulting in the business being well-received by local customers.
"Thank God, sales are quite stable now. We have customers coming in the morning and afternoon, and it's going well, it's going well," commented the young entrepreneur.
According to him, when customers buy their bread with lechón, they not only taste a unique flavor but also experience a piece of Cuba.
People in vehicles, taxi drivers, and motorcyclists regularly stop to buy the popular Cuban dish, which he sells for 50 córdobas, noted CDNN23.
Recently, the young Cuban shared his inspiring story of perseverance and hard work while selling bread with roast pork and desserts on the streets.
"This is my story, a Cuban with a dream, a necessity, but with a lot of faith," expressed Aldo Milanés, the protagonist of this inspiring tale, in a video shared on TikTok (@aldomilanesz).
