Cuban influencer Alex Otaola shared his thoughts on the upcoming concert by Oniel Bebeshito at the Pitbull Stadium in Miami, an event that has created significant anticipation within the Cuban community in the United States.
During his show Hola Otaola on YouTube, the influencer expressed skepticism about the reggaeton artist's ability to fill a stadium with a capacity of 20,000 people.
This is Bebeshito's first show in the United States, and while his fans are counting down the days to enjoy the party, Otaola believes it will be a tremendous failure.
"He thinks that by recording a little video, he's going to fill 20,000 seats. Come on, kid... What are you thinking?" Otaola said critically.
In his view, the young artist underestimates the challenge of bringing together such a broad and diverse audience in a city like Miami, where musical competition is intense.
Otaola insisted that Bebeshito does not yet have the reach of renowned artists. "You are not Bad Bunny, darling. You’re not! That stadium is not filled with Cubans. International artists fill it with Cuban, Peruvian, Dominican, Colombian audiences..."
In Otaola's view, the type of music produced by Oniel Bebeshito "is only consumed by the Cuban community," and only a small portion of that community will dignify themselves to buy tickets to attend the concert.
"I believe the young man has talent and that one day he will be able to fill that type of position, but I don't think he can achieve it right after arriving from Cuba," said the influencer.
He also mentioned the chosen date for the concert. He said that selecting December 28 seems like a "joke" because it is the Day of the Innocents, and he believes it to be a risky strategy since it coincides with the performances of other artists in the genre, Kimiko and Yordi, who are returning to the stage.
"I'm not wishing harm on Bebeshito; I want him to fill the Pitbull Stadium, but he needs to ground his dreams."
The event promises to provide an experience for the entire family. Ticket prices range from $60 to $200. There are VIP areas with reservations priced between $1,500 and $3,000.
There are ticket offers to suit all budgets, and according to followers of CiberCuba who have already purchased tickets, certain areas are selling out, even though we still have a month to go.
Otaola has some doubts, but Bebeshito's followers are energized and getting ready to celebrate the New Year in style at his concert in Miami.
The artist is typically very humble in his remarks. He knows that the expectations are high. It is a challenge to gather an audience for a stadium of this size, especially for his first concert in the United States, but he is determined to pursue his dreams.
