A Cuban woman with intellectual disabilities, residing in Jatibonico, Sancti Spíritus, has been missing from her home for over a month, and her family has turned to social media in an effort to find her.
Her foster sister, Viviana Reyes, shared photos in the Facebook group "REVOLICO SANCTI SPIRITUS Y SUS ALREDEDORES," along with a phone number that can be called if anyone has any information.
"Please, whoever sees her, call me immediately. She has been missing for a month and we haven't heard from her. She is from Jatibonico. My number is 58921461," he detailed.
A neighbor wrote to CiberCuba requesting the publication of the case.
"She is from Arroyo Blanco Jatibonico. A neighbor of mine, she has mild intellectual disabilities..." he noted.
The first report online was on October 24th.
"She has been missing since October 16, she has a mental disability and doesn't know how to return home," Viviana Reyes wrote at that time.
As explained in the comments section, this is not the first time it has been lost.
"About a year ago, she did it, and I found her like that, posting it on social media. She was in Chambas, but now I've been told she has gone to Sancti Spíritus," he clarified.
This week, CiberCuba reported on another disappearance, that of Claudia Cárdenas from Ciego de Ávila, who has been missing for more than three months despite her family's ongoing search.
Claudia, 27, has a mental disability that causes her to behave like a small child. She is non-aggressive and extremely affectionate. She disappeared on August 7, when she left her home in the town of San Rafael, in Baraguá.
