Amid the intense controversy following the revelation of her romance with Manuel Anido Cuesta, stepson of Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel, actress Ana de Armas has decided to restrict comments on her social media.

The news, revealed by the Spanish magazine ¡HOLA!, included photographs of the couple enjoying romantic moments in Madrid, including a kiss that has sparked much conversation.

In response to the flood of reactions, Ana de Armas decided to limit comments on her Instagram account, keeping this feature active only on a post that promotes her collaboration with the Louis Vuitton brand.

Anido is the son of Lis Cuesta, the current wife of Díaz-Canel, and he has accompanied his mother and stepfather to official events and trips.

The romance has sparked a wave of reactions on social media, ranging from supportive comments to harsh criticism from those who question the actress's relationship with someone connected to the Cuban government.

Others, for their part, celebrate that Ana de Armas has found a new partner after her breakup with Paul Boukadakis, the vice president of Tinder.

The controversy is also fueled by Ana de Armas’ recent visits to Cuba, including trips in February, May, and August of this year. Although it has not been officially confirmed, there is speculation that Manuel Anido may have accompanied her on some of these trips.

Limiting comments on her social media appears to be the actress's way of avoiding public confrontations while she is under media scrutiny.

Ana de Armas has not made any statement regarding her relationship with this representative of the Cuban regime, nor has she responded to the criticism that has arisen following the publication of ¡HOLA!.
