Nine injured after a collision between a workers' bus and a tractor in Moa, Holguín

Nine people were injured on Saturday following a collision between a workers' bus from the nickel industry and a tractor in a rural area of the Moa municipality in Holguín, for reasons that are unknown.

The injured included three workers from the Comandante Ernesto Che Guevara company, one from the Comandante Pedro Sotto Alba factory, four from the Mecánica del Níquel company, and one employee from SEPSA, as reported on social media by journalist Yulieska Hernández.

The aforementioned source specified that "so far there are no serious injuries" and that everyone is being treated at the local hospital, Doctor Guillermo Luis Fernández Hernández-Baquero.

The accident occurred in the section in front of Jucaral, in the Centeno Popular Council. Images shared depict the prevailing darkness in the area and the bus off the road.

The First Secretary of the Party, Yiganis Cruz Martínez, the Mayor Pavel Torres Breff, and executives from the companies with injured workers, as well as from the Cubaníquel Business Group, went to the hospital to visit the injured.

This is not the first accident of its kind in recent days.

Two weeks ago, a tractor transporting eleven people plunged from a bridge near the Ernesto Che Guevara mining company. Among the passengers were three minors.
