A motorist who was seriously injured last Wednesday in an accident on Aguilera Street in Santiago de Cuba passed away this Sunday.

The now deceased, identified as Robelis Adames, 45 years old, reportedly crashed into the perimeter wall of the Cultural Plaza on the aforementioned street, as stated on social media this Monday by journalist Yosmany Mayeta.

It is a tragic coincidence that Robelis Adames was riding a motorcycle carrying a nurse with medication for a victim of another serious accident.

The injured individual who was the recipient of the medication transported on Robelis's motorcycle had been involved in a three-motorcycle collision that took place on the busy Trocha street on November 20.

To make matters worse, shortly after the accident involving Robelis Adames was reported, Mayeta Labrada reported the alleged theft of the injured nurse's wallet, which contained the medication.

Fortunately, the communicator later updated that the bag with the medication had already been found. The clinical condition of the injured in that triple accident has not been made public.

As of the time this note was written, there is no information regarding the health status of the nurse who was also injured in the Aguilera Street accident.

The body of Robelis Adames is being laid to rest at the Santiaguera funeral home, although his remains will be transferred to the town of Dos Caminos, which is his hometown.

The death of the motorcyclist has caused immense shock among his friends and acquaintances.

In recent weeks, the number of traffic accident reports in Santiago de Cuba has surged, a situation that many attribute to the increase in non-functioning traffic lights due to the ongoing blackouts, which heightens the likelihood of road incidents.
