A tragic traffic accident in the city of Camagüey resulted in one death and two injuries, one of whom is a minor.
The incident occurred on Wednesday night when two motorcycles collided with a car at the intersection of Carlos J. Finlay and Saratoga avenues.
According to the portal La Hora de Cuba, both motorcycles were traveling "at around 120 kilometers per hour" when they collided "with an American car."
The collision was so severe that it punctured one of the vehicle's tires.
The deceased was one of the motorcyclists and has been identified as Guillermo, a resident of the Puerto Príncipe neighborhood. He was with his son, who is currently hospitalized at the pediatric hospital in La Colonia.
The second driver was also hospitalized and underwent surgery on his head Wednesday morning. His current condition is unknown.
