In a message shared on his social media platform Truth Social, Trump issued a warning to the communist leader about the consequences his country would face if it continues the conflict and urged him to make a deal.

"I do not seek to harm Russia," Trump began by saying, before recalling that he loves the Russian people and has always had a very good relationship with Putin.

"I'm going to do Russia, whose economy is failing, and President Putin a great favor. Come to an agreement now and end this ridiculous war! It's only going to get worse," he stated.

"We can do it the easy way or the hard way - and the easy way is always better. It's time to 'make a deal.' No more lives should be lost!" he emphasized.
