An accident this Saturday on the National Highway resulted in a preliminary count of 6 injured after the driver of a vehicle lost control on a stretch at the border between Unión de Reyes and Nueva Paz, in Matanzas.
According to the report from the local state-run media, three of the injured are being treated at the Octavio de la Concepción polyclinic in the town of Alacranes, while medical attention is being organized for the rest of the affected individuals.

"According to some testimonies, the driver of the vehicle lost control, allegedly due to a technical failure. However, authorities are still investigating the exact causes of the incident," the report adds.

According to the information, the three critically injured individuals were urgently transferred to the Arnaldo Milián Castro Provincial Hospital, where they are receiving specialized medical care. Their prognosis remains uncertain.
