A report from Miami Herald revealed that the Florida Department of Health suspended the license of the Sunny Isles Beach establishment due to numerous issues found.

In a detailed report on what that outlet described as "violations of patient safety", it was revealed that for two consecutive years the clinic had shortages of essential medications.

In 2022, authorities discovered that the vehicle with the emergency medical equipment was lacking medications such as Atropine 3 mg, used to dangerously slow down the heart rate.

They also did not have Epinephrine 1mg in 10ml, which addresses increased heart rate and potentially life-threatening allergic reactions; Dextrose 50%; 50 ml, which treats hypoglycemia, a dangerous drop in glucose levels.

The clinic did not have benzodiazepine, used for the reduction of nervous system activity.

The risk management program at Perfection was nonexistent, concluded the inspection.

In a second review in 2023, the Florida Department of Health found that the emergency vehicle still did not have atropine and dextrose, but also lacked 2 grams of magnesium sulfate, used for a variety of seizures and cardiac rhythm abnormalities.

On that occasion, they also noticed the absence of Lidocaine, 100 mg, which treats "potentially life-threatening arrhythmias."

In the center, they also highlighted a serious violation. At least one of the surgeons performing BBL did not examine the patient in person the day before the surgical procedure.

For these reasons, an administrative complaint was filed in December 2024, which led to the current suspension of the license.
