In his hometown of Cienfuegos, Yasiel Reina Machado grew up with a conviction that would always accompany him: technology should serve to unite, not to divide. What began as a dream surrounded by codes and notebooks, evolved years later into a reality that today connects people across all aspects of daily life.
That dream took shape in Zintrox Technology, the company that Reina leads from Miami and was founded with a deeply human mission: to use innovation to care for, support, and keep close those we love, regardless of the distance.
His story is also that of many Cubans who, far from home, decided to invest in entrepreneurship and creative drive; in his case, turning technology into a bridge that shortens distances and multiplies affection.
A Cuban with a clear purpose
Graduating from Carlos Rafael Rodríguez University in Cienfuegos, Yasiel Reina has always been clear that his professional path should have a human purpose. Today, he continues his education at Florida National University (FNU), where he is pursuing studies in business administration, convinced that technology without a business vision cannot create a global impact.
"Zintrox was born out of the need to stay close to those we love," they explain. "More than just a company, we wanted to build a bond of trust between parents, children, and grandparents. We aimed for technology to serve as a means of protection, not separation."
Imagine receiving an alert if your child stops for too long on their way home or knowing that your mother is doing well without having to call her. That’s what Zintrox does.
Engineering and vision: the engine that drives Zintrox Technology
Zintrox is the result of the talent and perseverance of a group of Cuban professionals who decided to turn their concept into reality. What started as a project among friends has become one of the most promising startups in Miami's Latin tech ecosystem.
The company combines technological vision, functional design, and human purpose, three pillars that define every decision made by the team. "We want people to feel that technology can care, that behind every device there is a noble intention,” says Reina.
Zintrox not only reflects the leadership of Yasiel Reina Machado but also the talent of a technical team composed of five other Cuban engineers.
Among them, there are graduates from the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas, specialized in Telecommunications and Software Engineering. This group of young individuals, each with different profiles, represents a new generation of Cuban professionals who have managed to make their way in the international technology industry.
One of the team members has worked at global companies in the technology sector, bringing to Zintrox a more robust structure and an international perspective for the brand's growth and expansion.
“Everyone contributes an essential piece to the project,” notes Reina. “From hardware engineering to user experience, we all share the same goal: to use innovation to connect with people.”
The Signature Series: technology with a family essence
The launch of the Zintrox Signature Series marked a turning point in the company's growth. This first product line combines innovation, precision, and design in a unified ecosystem that focuses on providing security and peace of mind to modern families.
“With the Signature Series, Zintrox went from being an idea in a notebook to becoming a technology brand with real products ready for the market,” emphasizes its founder.
This first collection represents the maturity of a project that combines proprietary hardware, proprietary software, and original design under a single experience: the Zintrox ecosystem.
There are four main devices in the series that form the foundation of this smart ecosystem and work together through the Zintrox App:
- Zintrox One is the heart of the Zintrox ecosystem, a single device to connect, protect, and keep you close at all times, compatible with all personal and family care accessories.
- Zintrox Tag, un dispositivo de rastreo de precisión para objetos.

- Zintrox Smart Tag, a tracking device for the intelligent protection of individuals.
- Zintrox Smart Card, an ultra-thin format designed for wallets and backpacks, that mimics a credit card.
Each product represents a tangible piece of a much broader project: to create a global ecosystem for family safety.
The company is not looking to compete in a saturated device market, but rather to provide an emotional experience where every user feels that technology is with them at every moment and can ensure the well-being of their loved ones.
Zintrox App: when technology becomes closeness
Currently, Zintrox is moving into the final development phase of its Zintrox App, a platform that will bring together all the functions of its devices under a single experience.
The application will allow:
- Monitor the real-time location of loved ones.
- Set up safe zones or geofences.
- Receive automatic SOS alerts in case of emergency.
- Maintain direct communication between users and tutors, regardless of distance.
More than a tracking tool, the app aims to turn technology into a bridge of emotional trust. "We want families to feel they are being supported, not monitored," emphasizes Reina.
From Miami to the world: Zintrox expands its technology
From Miami, Zintrox is currently in the midst of attracting investors and expanding internationally. The goal: to scale into new markets without losing its identity. “Zintrox has Cuban roots and a global vision,” says Reina. “Our soul was born in Cuba, but our horizon is the world”.
Their vision can be summed up in a phrase that the team repeats as a mantra: “Nothing is built in the comfort of the known.” This principle drives them to innovate, take risks, and build from passion. Every line of code and every product design is guided by a conviction: technology must serve to protect.
The current purpose of the company is to cultivate a sense of trust and pride within the Cuban, Latin, and international community, based on the premise that Zintrox protects, fosters connection, and also inspires, as it demonstrates what Cubans can achieve with hard work and vision.
"If by the end of this article someone feels that Zintrox is not just another brand, but a project with soul, we will have fulfilled our mission," assures Yasiel Reina during a conversation with CiberCuba.
From Cienfuegos to Miami, the story of this young man and his team demonstrates that Cuban talent can transcend borders when combined with purpose, discipline, and hard work.
