Ingredients:
- 2 cups of shortening
- 2 cups of sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla
- 7 ¾ cups of wheat flour
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 teaspoon of baking powder
Instructions:
Preheat the oven to 350ºF. Mix the shortening with the sugar until a paste forms. Add the beaten eggs with the vanilla, and stir until everything is combined. Gradually add the sifted flour with the salt and baking powder. Knead until everything is united. Roll out the dough with a rolling pin between two pieces of thick or waxed paper until it reaches a thickness of 0.5 cm. Cut it with a round cutter of 5 cm in diameter. Then place them on a greased baking tray and bake for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
