In the early hours of this Sunday, January 1, 2017, the Letter of the Year for the new year was obtained.

As already happened for the first time in 2016, this year a unified letter has been produced from the two religious branches that, until recently, published two different Letters, which created some confusion among the believers.

The 2017 Letter of the Year from the Cultural Association of Yoruba of Cuba, in conjunction with the Organizing Commission for the Letter of the Year Miguel Febles Padrón, will be published in the early hours of January 1, 2017. Preliminary ceremonies for this event have already begun in Havana, Cuba.

This year, only one unified letter for the year 2017 will be obtained from both religious branches. Last year, during a press conference, the consolidation of both letters for the year was announced. Both Lázaro Cuesta, founder of the Commission for the Letter of the Year, and José Manuel Pérez, the new president of the ACYC, confirmed the unprecedented agreement.

This decision is supported by a substantial majority of Cuban religious institutions.

We hope that the new and unique letter of the year will ensure greater confidence among practitioners of Ocha and Ifá in Cuba and prevent the already frequent confusions.

Here are the long-awaited predictions and advice for 2017:
