The young Cuban Michel López Salinas is among the 110 fatalities last Friday after the plane from the Mexican airline Global Air, rented by Cubana de Aviación, crashed near the Havana Airport just minutes after takeoff.

Salinas is from Holguín, but he had been living in Miami for several years. Recently, he traveled to the island to visit his family.

He was on board the plane because he traveled to Havana with his girlfriend to pick up the passport he had recently renewed, according to what one of Michel's relatives told the journalist from Univision, Mario Vallejo.

"It has been a very strong blow for the entire family, we are struggling," he told her.

The Facebook page Aviación en Cuba has included your photo in the album featuring the faces of the victims.

All the bodies have been recovered, but according to Cuban authorities, it will take up to 30 days to identify the victims. As of today, 20 of the 110 victims have been identified.
